Building up Community Inside & Outside the Church

Doing things together builds up community. The Church has several organisations that do just that: The Bowling Club meet on a Monday evening. On a Tuesday morning a group of men named the Task Force, meet to tackle various jobs around the church, the hall and the local community. The choir meet to practice on a Thursday evening and then there are the teams who clean the church and hall, arrange flowers and do all sorts of things together. There is always room in these organisations for more members!

EVERY TUESDAY (New Members Welcome!)
10.30am : Parochial Hall

This group of energetic guys (but gals can help) meet every Tuesday morning to chat, have tea and buns, set the world to rights and to maintain the Church and hall premises.

The work this team does is invaluable. During the winter months they paint, decorate, and restore anything in the church that needs doing and in the summer months they cut grass, trim hedges, clean gutters and anything else that needs maintenance. The banter and good humour that goes on in the group ensures that nobody misses Tuesday morning! Pictured below are the Taskforce Team.

The choir is a faithful committed group, happy to have new male and female members.

During the year the choir meet on a Thursday evening for choir practice to learn new songs and a bit of fun. If you would like to join, talk to Allenor the Rector Rev'd Adrian, after the service on Sunday mornings.

Flower Arranging

We have not got an official name because we are not really a club as such, rather a group of people passionate about flower arranging.

The flowers in the church are arranged weekly by this small group. Members of the congregation sign up for a Sunday of their own choosing and either purchase flowers themselves or leave a donation so that the group can buy and arrange the flowers. Many people have commented on the professionalism of the arrangements.

If requested the group would consider undertaking wedding floral arrangements. There is room in the group for more talent....so if you love flowers get in touch. Practice makes perfect and we can help you get lots of practice!!! If you're interested in joining, please contact the Rector who will pass on your details to a group member.
